ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tree felling wedge has a conical member having a partially threaded surface intended for screwing into and expanding a saw-cut in a tree trunk obtained by sawing. The threaded part of the conical member is interrupted by at least one section having a smooth surface to reduce the frictional resistance betweeen the wedge and the tree trunk.
