-1- RCA 77,465 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Apparatus for use in a television signal receiver including a source of digital video signals is provided which produces two outputs having two different amplitude versus frequency response characteristics. A comb filter produces a signal having frequency bands of luminance information signals and chrominance information signals. Delaying means is responsive to the comb filter output signal. The delaying means includes a tapped shift register, and also produces an unweighted version of the comb filter output signal delayed by an amount of time which is equal to at least half of the delay of the shift register. Weighting means are coupled to the taps of the shift register and weight signals passing through it. One of the luminance and chrominance information signals is produced by means coupled to the weighting means and cooperating with the shift register. The other of the luminance and chrominance information signals is produced by means combining the unweighted delayed input signal with the output of the signal producing means.
