ABSTRACT The invention relates to a play structure for children. The structure generally comprises a three-dimensional open lattice formed by elongated supporting elements joined at their ends by joint members. Play units, which form surfaces over or through which the children can clamber and climb, are supported from the supporting elements within the open lattice. The play units can be shaped or patterned to represent various natural objects found in the real world, such as caves, tunnels, slopes, cliffs, bodies of water etc., or alternatively various man-made objects such as architectural forms, turrets, dome roofs, walls, stair cases, pyramids, roads, bridges, etc., in order to stimulate the interest and imagination of the children.
