ABSTRACT This invention relates to a process for the reclamation of selenium in high purity from scrap alloys which comprises converting the alloy to a mixture of oxides, separating the selenium oxide formed by alcoholic dissolution, followed by treating this solution with a reducing agent, and thereafter separating the selenium product therefrom.
