Abstract of the Disclosure A spreader and dump truck for spreading salt, including a dump box adapted to be tilted rearwardly for rear dumping, and including a first sub-frame mounting a longitudinal conveyor adjacent a fixed wall and within the confines of the dump box, a second sub-frame including a bottom floor portion and a side wall adapted to pivot along an axis parallel to the conveyor and adjacent thereof, the first sub-frame including front and rear pillars along the side edges thereof, the second sub-frame including a side wall adapted to nest between the front and rear pillars of the side frame of the first sub-frame. Piston and cylinder arrangements are provided for pivotally moving the second sub-frame and tilt it relative to the conveyor.
