ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A mechanism, for detachably connecting a chute to a hopper having an outlet port for delivering parts therefrom, includes a plug constituted by one end portion of the chute, and a socket constituted by a free end portion of the outlet port of the hopper for receiving the plug tightly. A spring-biased ball is carried by a wall of the socket, and is movable between a projected position in which it projects into the socket, and a retracted position in which it is retracted out of the socket. The plug has a locking recess for receiving the ball when the plug is inserted in the socket in position for correct connec- tion. With this mechanism, the chute can be attached to, or detached from, the hopper with only a single simple snap action.
