ABSTRACT PROCESS FOR THE HYDROCARBOXYLATION OF ACETYLENICALLY UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS The hydrocarboxylation of alkynes with CO and a carboxylic acid in the presence of a catalyst prepared by combining a compound of divalent palladium and a tri-organic phosphine is carried out by using a ratio mol phosphine per gramaton of palladium of more than 15 and, preferably, in the presence of benzenephosphonic acid.
