ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In known image processing systems, an infra-red television camera supplies signals representing the field of view to a processing assembly which has a memory and which processes signals in the memory to provide output signals, such as to a display. The present system has sixteen processing assemblies provided by transputers which each have a memory and a processor. Signals from the camera representing different areas of the field of view are supplied to respective different ones of the processing assemblies. Each processor processes only that information in its memory and provides output signals representative of the respective ares of the field of view.
