ABSTRACT A cardboard container of the type having walls, including a front wall and a bottom, the wall being adapted to maintain contents in stacked relation on the bottom, and a dispensing opening on the lower portion of the front wall through which articles in the container can be withdrawn from the bottom of the stack comprising a bottom that is elevated from the lower edges of the walls, the lower edges of the walls adjacent the front wall and the lower edge of the front wall overhanging the front edge of the bottom, whereby the bottom has an area less than the cross-sectional area of the walls at a location above the bottom so that a stack of articles can be housed in the container and the lowermost article stacked on the bottom will overhang the bottom and can be manipulated from the underside of its overhanging portion and removed through the said dispensing opening from the said container.
