ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a new and useful micro processor controlled image information system comprising an analog image storage device; a micro processor electroni- cally associated with the analog storage device providing an image identification means, an image selection control means, and an analog image storage device interface control means; and an image display means electronically associated with the analog image storage device for display of images selectively retrieved from the analog image storage device under control of the micro processor. The invention has particular application in retrieval of electronically stored "mug" shots according to, for example, distinguishing personal characteristics.
