ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Surgical headgear including a surgical cap and/or a surgical mask, either one of which may have a strip of pliable material adhesively or otherwise detachably secured thereto adapted to be removed and repositioned to engage a pair of spectacles so as to retain the spectacles in a pre-selected position on the nose of the wearer. The headgear cap also includes a persperation absorption element normally adhesively secured on the outside of the rap that is repositionable on the inside of the cap.
