ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A pitless adapter normally includes a body containing a 90 degree passage for diverting water in a well casing from a vertical drop pipe to a horizontal service line. By continuing the vertical arm of passage through the top of the body and providing a removable plug in the top of the vertical arm, water can be bypassed through a top pipe to a frost free hydrant at the top end of the well casing.
