ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a method for producing insulating materials based upon polyvinyl-chloride, whereby extremely light poly-vinyl-chloride particles, in the form of flakes or tangled fibres, having a bulk-density of 10 to 200 g/l, are either encased in foil or are combined into light elements by heating or by adding bonding agents such as adhesives, hot-setting adhesives, hardenable polymers or prefoamed, inflatable polymers.
