ABSTRACT Engine overspeed control circuitry includes a comparator comparing tachometer voltage against a reference voltage, and disabling the engine above a given speed. The overspeed protection is defeated by blowing a fuse in circuit with a comparator input changing the impedanca thereat, which leaves a permanent record of the defeat for subsequent detection.
