ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION An open top foldable container made from a foldable one-piece blank having front and back walls of similar configuration; end walls of similar configuration; the end walls each having a midfold line extending the length thereof whereby the container can be laid flat with the front wall overlying the back wall and the end walls folded upon themselves. The bottom is formed by two bottom walls that form a V-shape in cross- section when set up, one bottom wall merging with the front wall and the other bottom wall merging with the back wall. The bottom walls are formed into the V-shape by a tab that is hinged to one bottom wall and glued to the other bottom wall. The side walls have a lower edge that extends at least as far as the bottom of the V-shaped bottom in set-up position whereby to form feet for the container. The front and end walls are glued to form a sleeve along a single glue line at one of said front and back walls. The front and back walls communicate with their respective end walls along fold lines that incline inwardly from their ends whereby by pressing the midfold of the end walls of a folded container towards each other to erect the container the end walls can be sprung inwardly at their midfold lines to bow the fold lines inwardly and maintain the tubular shape of the container.
