Abstract of the Disclosure A method of preparing a free radical initiated addition polymer in the presence of hydrogen peroxide solution is disclosed. The hydrogen peroxide solution is added incrementally to the reaction mixture during the course of the polymerization with water and low boiling organic solvents being continuously removed from the reaction mixture. The invention enables the polymerization to occur at high temperatures which is conducive to the preparation of low molecular weight polymers.
