Abstract of the Disclosure The invention relates to a pipe clamp for holding a pipe under high pressure. The clamp comprises two symmetrical clamping jaws preferably of hard plastics, arranged around the pipe and fastened to a base support e.g. by means of threaded pins and tension nuts. Between the clamping jaws and the base support is provided a plate of an elastic material dampening sound waves, and between the clamping jaws and the threaded pins being in direct contact with the base support are provided sleeves of a similar material. Thus disturbing noise is not transferred from the pipe to the base support and a secure clamping of the pipe is achieved as the sound insulation members also take up thermal expansion movements of the pipe.
