ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a clamping device serving to connect two parts, such as a hollow horizontal beam and a vertical column, the device comprising a spring-loaded axially mobile anchor bolt mounted in a bore in an insert-core and arranged at the end of one part, the T-shaped head of the said anchor-bolt engaging behind a longitudinal groove in the other part by means of an eccentrically mounted screw in a threaded bush in the insert-core engaging in a conical recess in the said anchor-bolt, the latter is drawn axially inwards in order to lock the two said profiled parts together. In other to facilitate assembly and to prevent the said anchor-bolt from jumping out of the insert-core under the action of the spring when the screw is turned in the wrong direction of rotation the said anchor-bolt is retained in the insert-core by retaining means which may be a snap-fastening, or a cooperating slotted sleeve and pin.
