Abstract of the disclosure: The invention relates to agents for protecting crop plants from the phytotoxic side effects of herbi- cides, these agents containing a compound of the formula I Image (I) in which Ar denotes (subst.) phenyl, (subst.) naphthyl or (subst.) quinolyl, A denotes a linear or branched hydrocarbon chain, R1 denotes H, alkyl, CN, alkoxy- carbonyl or (subst.) phenyl and R2 has the meaning of R1, with the exception of hydrogen, or denotes a (subst.) heterocyclic radical which has 5 or 6 ring members and can contain one to three N, O or S atoms, or R1 and R2 together denote an alkylene chain with 4 - 7 carbon atoms, in combination with a herbicide.
