A B S T R A C T A low loss, liquid-cooled, large KVA reactor that includes a cylindrical coil wound from a hollow insulated conductor and embedded in a solid core made of powdered metal and a binding agent therefor. The conductor is preferably a low loss conductor and the entire unit is preferably enclosed in a moisture-impervious material.
