A B S T R A C T O F T H E D I S C L O S U R E Novel benzyl-pyrimidinylalkyl-ethers of the general formula Image in which R represents alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl and X1, X2 and X3 are selected independently and each represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, halogeno- alkyl, halogenoalkoxy, halogenoalkylthio, cyano, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted phenoxy, optionally substituted phenylalkyl or optionally sub- stituted phenylalkoxy, and the acid-addition salts and metal salt complexes thereof, a process for the preparation of the new compounds and their use as plant growth regulators and fungicides.
