ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention is directed to azolyl-ketones of the formula (IVa) Image (IVa) in which X1 and Y1 both represent straight-chain or branched alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a preferred value of R is 4-chlorophenyl. The azolyl-ketones of the present invention are useful as intermediates in the preparation of antimycotic agents.
