Abstract of the disclosure The invention relates to a novel basic-substituted 5-halo-thienoisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1-dioxide of the formula Image I in which R1 denotes hydrogen, (C1 - C4)-alkyl or halogen, R2 denotes halogen, and n denotes an integer from 2 to 6, the pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition salt thereof, a process for their preparation, and their use in medicament for the treatment of anxiety states.
