- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides a compound of the formula: Image wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 is a C1-C5 alkyl group, a C3-C4 alkenyl group, a C3-C4 alkynyl group or a C1-C4 alkoxymethyl group, X is a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom and Y is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom. These compounds are useful as selective herbicides.
