A B S T R A C T CROSSLINKABLE ELASTOMERIC COMPOSITIONS Polymeric compositions which may be readily crosslinked at temperatures above about 200 °C comprise an elastomeric polymer possessing olefinic unsaturation and an effective amount of a benzocyclobutene derivative of the general formula Image where "X" is selected from the group consisting of -CH=CH- Image and ?R? where "R" is an alkylene group of 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Cured compositions are also claimed.
