ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vapour generator is disclosed having a vertical flue and a transverse flue branched off the former. The tubes of the flue walls extend longitudinally of the respective flue. Some of the wall tubes of the vertical gas flue are used as support tubes whose top ends are secured to a support structure. The tubes of the transverse flue are bent outwards of the respective wall planes at the point where the transverse flue branches off. The non-supporting tubes of the vertical flue are bent outwardly so as to become disposed in groups, each group coinciding with a vertical plane generally parallel with the direction of and disposed within the transverse flue. Each such plane also includes one of the supporting tubes, the supporting tubes being the only ones continuing within the plane of the upright wall of the vertical flue. Near the top wall transverse flue, the non-supporting tubes of the vertical flue are again bent back to return to their original alignment with the corresponding wall of the vertical flue. The points where the non-supporting tubes are bent away from and back to the vertical flue wall are disposed exteriorally of the transverse flue. Structural simplicity of a vertical gas flue and a more uniform length of the tubes forming the vertical flue are among the features of advantage of the present invention over prior art.
