ABSTRACT A compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, having the formula: Image wherein X is O or S; wherein n = 1 or O; wherein R is C3-C12 alkyl or aralkyl, branched or unbranched, aryl or haloaryl, or C3-C22 alkenyl, branched or unbranched; wherein Rl is OCH3, and wherein R2 is OH. These urea derivatives have analgesic and anti-irritant activity when administered to humans and lower animals.
