A B S T R A C T A brick tie for anchoring a brick wall to a vertical channel-shaped member open on one side and to which a drywall has already been secured. The brick tie has a first part with a body portion insertable into the channel-shaped member through the open side thereof and wedgeable therein, and a second part attachable to the first part and positionable between adjacent bricks as the wall is being constructed, with one of the parts passing through the drywall.
