The binder contains a major proportion of a low molecular weight interpolymer comprising a monovinyl aro- matic monomer, a C3-C7 allylic alcohol and optionally a monocarboxylic acid ester of a C3-C7 allylic alcohol, and a minor proportion of high molecular weight interpolymer
