ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermoplastic bag with side or bottom gussets each defined by a pair of overlying panels having selected ends thereof sealed together and between the sealed edges of the front and rear walls of the bag. Each gusset includes a transverse tear line inward of the sealed lower ends of the panels of the gusset, and a transverse glue line bonding the two panels of the gusset to each other inward of the tear line and across the width of the gusset.
