Abstract of the Disclosure A load cell includes a bridge circuit having first to fourth strain gauge resistors and first and second tempera- ture compensating resistors connected to the respective first and second strain gauge resistors. The first to fourth strain gauge resistors are constituted by a nickel- chromium alloy layer of high resistivity metal formed on an insulating film, the first and second temperature compensating resistors are each constituted by a two- layered structure of the high resistivity layer and a lower resistivity layer formed thereon, and connecting means for connecting the first to fourth strain gauge resistors and first and second temperature compensating resistors are constituted by a three-layered structure of the high resistivity layer, the lower resistivity layer and also a high conductivity layer formed on the lower resistivity layer.
