K 9422 A B S T R A C T PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF SYNTHESIS GAS FROM A HYDROCARBON-CONTAINING FEED A process for the preparation of synthesis gas from a hydro- carbon-containing feed (e.g. methane) comprising the following steps: a) at least part of the hydrocarbon-containing feed is partially converted at elevated temperature and pressure with steam into a product containing H2 and CO; b) product from step a) and any remaining part of the feed is subjected to catalytic partial oxidation with an oxygen- comprising gas; and c) CO2 is removed from the product obtained from step b).
