The present invention provides a process for the production of an aromatic carbonate, comprising the steps of: continuously feeding an aliphatic carbonate represented by following general formula (1) as a starting material, an aromatic monohydroxy compound represented by following general formula (2) as a reactant, and a metal-containing catalyst into a stage above the bottom of a first multi- stage distillation column so as to bring about reaction; continuously withdrawing from the reaction system in a gaseous form a low boiling point component containing an alcohol by-produced in the reaction; and continuously withdrawing from a lower portion of the column in a liquid form an aromatic carbonate represented by following general formula (3) obtained from the starting material and the reactant (see formula 1) Ar1OH (2) wherein R1 in general formulae (1) and (2) represents an aliphatic group having 4 to 6 carbon atoms, and Ar1 represents an aromatic group having 5 to 30 carbon atoms (see formula 3) wherein R 2 and Ar2 in general formulae (3) are the same as R1 and Ar1 in the starting material and the reactant, respectively. Wherein said metal-containing catalyst is an organic titanate having at least one TiO-Ti linkage therein.
L~invention concerne un procédé pour fabriquer un carbonate aromatique, caractérisé par l~alimentation en continu d~un carbonate aliphatique représenté par la formule générale (1) suivante en tant que matériau de départ, d~un composé aromatique monohydroxyle représenté par la formule générale (2) suivante en tant que réactif et d~un catalyseur contenant un métal vers une première colonne de distillation à étages multiples au niveau d~un étage plus haut que le fond de la colonne afin de faire réagir le matériau de départ avec le réactif. L~invention est également caractérisée par la décharge en continu d~un composé de carbonate aromatique représenté par la formule générale (3) suivante à l~état liquide, que l~on obtient à partir du matériau de départ et du réactif, à partir du fond de la colonne alors que des ingrédients à faible point d~ébullition générés sous forme de produits dérivés de la réaction, tels qu~un alcool, sont déchargés en continu à l~état gazeux à partir du système réactionnel. Dans les formules générales (1) et (2), R1 représente un groupe aliphatique en C4-6 et Ar1 représente un groupe aromatique en C5-30. Dans la formule générale (3), R2 et Ar2 respectivement sont R1 et Ar1 dans le matériau de départ et le réactif.
