This invention relates to cosmetic compositions containing aqueous nanodis- persions of polyurethane ionomers based on polytrimethylene ether glycol ("PO3G"), and an active cosmetic ingredient. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the PO3G is derived predominantly from monomers obtained from renewable resources, making the personal care products of this embodiment of the present invention more environmentally friendly in terms of their manufacture, use and disposal.
