A method of draining water from low-consistency water-fibre suspensions. In the method, the water-fibre suspension is fed to a filtering surface comprising holes. In the method, the rougher fibres are first separated from the water- fibre suspension and fed to the filtering surface to form a separate filtering layer and the water-fibre suspension is led to flow through said filtering layer formed by the rougher fibres.

L'invention concerne un procédé de drainage de l'eau contenue dans des suspensions eau-fibres de faible consistance. Selon ledit procédé, on fait arriver la suspension eau-fibres sur une surface de filtrage comprenant des orifices. On sépare ensuite les fibres les plus grossières de la suspension eau-fibres, on les place sur la surface de filtrage pour former une couche de filtrage séparée, et on laisse s'écouler la suspension eau-fibres au travers de la couche de filtrage formée par lesdites fibres grossières.
