Polyester-containing multilayer biaxially-oriented polypropylene films are provided. According to the invention, a two- or three-layer polyester- containing cap layer is bonded to a monoaxially oriented polypropylene core, followed by orientation of the resulting composite in a direction transverse to the direction of orientation of the core layer. At least one tie layer is interposed between the core and the polyester. Advantageously, the polyester contains silicone fluid as a processing aid.
Cette invention concerne des films de polypropylène multicouches, orientés biaxialement, et contenant du polyester. D'après cette invention, une couche d'encapsulation contenant du polyester et se composant de deux ou trois couches, est liée à un noyau de polypropylène orienté monoaxialement. Le composite résultant est ensuite orienté dans un sens transversal par rapport au sens d'orientation de la couche du noyau. Au moins une couche de liaison est interposée entre le noyau et le polyester. Le polyester présente l'avantage de contenir un fluide silicone en qualité d'adjuvant.
