ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gate system is installed at the intersection of three conduits in a liquid waste treatment plant. The three conduits include a vertical and cylindrical pipe conduit and two horizontal conduits. The system comprises a semicylindrical gate of which the geometrical axis coincides with the longitudinal axis of the vertical pipe conduit and of which the radius is equal to that of the latter conduit. In a first angular position, the gate can be translated along the above mentioned longitudinal axis and toward the vertical conduit to isolate a first one of the horizontal conduits, while in a second angular position it can be translated to isolate the other one of these horizontal conduits. Translation of the gate also enables re-establishment of the interconnection between the three conduits at their intersection.
