Main data and sub data are subjected to an error correction encoding processing in ECC encoders (2a) and (2b), respectively. The main data is modulated in 8-16 modulation sections (3). In a synchronous signal addition section (7), a selected pattern among a plurality of patterns is added as a synchronous signal according to a conversion table stored in a table memory (4). In a predetermined section on an optical disc, a switch (13) is turned ON and selection of the synchronous signal pattern is controlled according to the sub data value, thereby recording the sub data. A recording signal of the EFM Plus frame format is generated by the synchronous signal addition section (7) and the recording signal is supplied to an optical pickup (9) via a recording circuit (8), so that the main and sub data are recorded on the optical disc (10).
Selon l'invention, des données principales et des sous-données sont soumises à un processus de codage de correction d'erreurs dans des codeurs ECC (2a) et (2b), respectivement.
