The present invention relates to using an aerosol, mist, spray, liquid or semi liquid delivery system for the reagent solution containing the indicator or marker. This system comprises a reagent containing the indicator or marker that produces a color in the presence of reactants such as basic components, in a functional fluid. The indicator is e.g. an acid/base indicator, a metal indicator or a redox indicator.
