Disclosed is a coating composition comprising: (a) hydroxy group-containing inorganic particles having an average particle diameter of between 5 and 30 nm; (b) hydroxy group- containing inorganic particles having an average particle diameter of between 0.2 and 5 D; (c) an organosilane compound represented by the formula of R n Si(OR') 4-n (wherein R is a C1-C8 aminoalkyl group, glycidoxyalkyl group or isocyanatoalkyl group; R'is a C1-C6 lower alkyl group; and n is an integer of between 0 and 3); and (d) a solvent. A method for preparing the above coating composition, a substrate such as film or structural exterior material, having excellent self-cleaning property and staining resistance by using the above coating composition and methods for producing the same are also disclosed. The coating composition using hydroxy group-containing inorganic particles can improve the initial hydrophilicity of conventional coating agents. Additionally, the coating composition can form a hydrophilic coating layer having a contact angle with water of 30~or less by using two kinds of inorganic particles having a different particles diameter. Particularly, the coating composition uses an organic solvent having erosive property to a substrate to be coated and a low boiling point, and thus can be applied to a conventional production line for structural exterior materials without adding a separate coating line. Therefore, the coating composition can provide structural materials having hydrophilicity, excellent self-cleaning property and long service life, when coated on substrates such as vinyl sidings.
L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement comprenant: a) des particules inorganiques contenant un groupe hydroxy dont le diamètre moyen est compris entre 5 et 30 nm; b) des particules inorganiques contenant un groupe hydroxy dont le diamètre moyen est compris entre 0,2 et 5 D; c) un composé d'organosilane représenté par la formule RnSi(OR')4-n (dans laquelle R représente un groupe C1-C8 aminoalkyle, un groupe glycidoxyalkyle ou un groupe isocyanatoalkyle; R' représente un groupe C1-C6 alkyle inférieur; et n est un nombre entier compris entre 0 et 3); et d) un solvant. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de préparer la composition de revêtement précitée et un substrat, tel qu'un film ou un matériau structurel extérieur, présentant d'excellentes propriétés autonettoyante et antitâche. Ladite composition de revêtement qui utilise des particules inorganiques contenant un groupe hydroxy permet d'améliorer le caractère hydrophile initial des agents de revêtement classiques. En outre, cette composition de revêtement permet de former une couche de revêtement hydrophile dont l'angle de contact avec l'eau est de 30° ou moins par utilisation de deux types de particules inorganiques de diamètres différents. La composition de revêtement utilise, en particulier, un solvant organique possédant une propriété érosive par rapport à un substrat à revêtir et un faible point d'ébullition, et peut donc être appliquée à une ligne de production classique de matériaux structurels extérieurs sans ajouter de ligne de revêtement séparée. De ce fait, la composition de revêtement permet de produire des matériaux structurels possédant un caractère hydrophile, une excellente propriété autonettoyante et une durée de vie prolongée lorsqu'elle revêt des substrats, tels que des parements en vinyle.
