An analytical cartridge ( 10) adapted for use in analyzing fluids which contain liquid and solid components. The cartridge includes a plumbing system composed of various wells (38, 48, 50, 55) or chambers which are interconnected by passageways (60, 62, 66, 56, 68). After introduction into the cartridge, liquid samples are separated and transported to a test well utilizing a sequential application of centrifugal force followed by pressurization of the system. The cartridge may be used to measure the concentration of a wide variety of chemical constituents in bodily fluids and is useful in measuring other properties of these fluids which contain liquid and solid components.
Cartouche d'analyse (10) adaptée pour l'analyse de fluides qui contiennent des constituants liquides et solides. Ladite cartouche possède un réseau de plomberie composé de divers puits (38, 48, 50, 55) ou chambres qui sont interconnectés par des passages (60, 62, 66, 56, 68). Après introduction dans la cartouche, les échantillons de liquide sont séparés et transportés vers un puits d'essai dans lequel ils sont soumis en séquence à une force centrifuge puis à une mise sous pression du réseau. Ladite cartouche peut être utilisée pour mesurer la concentration d'une large gamme de constituants chimiques présents dans des fluides corporels et est utile pour mesurer d'autres propriétés de ces fluides qui contiennent des constituants liquides et solides.
