An implant system for resurfacing at least a portion of an articulation surface of a bone includes an implant having a top articular surface and an opposing bone apposition surface. An elongated fastener has a first end connected to the implant so that the fastener outwardly projects from the bone apposition surface. A tubular bone anchor removably encircles at least a portion of the fastener. An enlarged head is secured to the fastener so that at least a portion of the tubular bone anchor encircling the fastener is selectively captured between the enlarged head and the implant.
