An endoscope apparatus (10) includes a handle assembly (12), an outer tube (14) having a distal end (16) and a proximal end (18), the latter being fixed to the handle assembly. The outer tube is provided with a groove (20) in an outermost surface of the outer tube and extending lengthwise of the outer tube. The apparatus further includes an irrigation tube (30) for disposal in the groove for conducting fluid in a direction from the proximal end to the distal end.

Un endoscope (10) comporte un ensemble manche (12), un tube extérieur (14) possédant une extrémité distale (16) et une extrémité proximale (18), cette dernière étant fixée à l'ensemble manche. Le tube extérieur présente dans sa surface extérieure une gorge (20) s'étendant longitudinalement. L'endoscope comprend d'autre part un tube d'irrigation (30) logé dans la gorge pour acheminer du fluide dans un sens allant de l'extrémité proximale à l'extrémité distale.
