Methods and apparatus are disclosed for determining a new anticoagulant therapy factor (nATF) for monitoring oral anticoagulant therapy to help prevent excessive bleeding or deleterious blood clots that might otherwise occur before, during or after surgery. In one embodiment, the new anticoagulant therapy factor is based upon a determination of a new fibrinogen transformation rate (nFTR) which, hi turn, is dependent on a maximum acceleration point (MAP) for fibrinogen (FBG) conversion. The new anticoagulant therapy factor quantity is also based upon the time to maximum acceleration from the time of reagent injection (TX) into a plasma sample, but does not require the difficulty of obtaining prior art International Normalized Ratio (INR) and International Sensitivity Index (ISI) parameters. Other embodiments provide methods and apparatus for determining an anticoagulant therapy factor without requiring use of a mean normal prothrombin time determination or ISI.
L'invention concerne des procédés et un appareil de détermination d'un nouveau facteur de thérapie anticoagulation (nATF) destinés à surveiller la thérapie anticoagulation orale afin d'éviter un saignement excessif ou des caillots sanguin délétères qui pourraient apparaître avant, pendant ou après une opération. Dans un mode de réalisation, le nouveau facteur de thérapie anticoagulation se fonde sur la détermination d'une nouvelle vitesse de transformation de fibrinogène (nFTR) qui dépend, à son tour, du point d'accélération maximal (MAP) pour la conversion des fibrinogènes (FBG). La nouvelle quantité du facteur de thérapie anticoagulation dépend aussi de la durée de l'accélération maximale à partir du moment de l'injection du réactif (TX) dans un échantillon de plasma, sans pour autant devoir obtenir, comme dans l'art antérieur, des paramètres de Rapport Normalisé International (INR) et d'Indice de Sensibilité International (ISI). D'autres modes de réalisation concernent des procédés et un appareil de détermination d'un facteur de thérapie anticoagulation sans avoir besoin de faire appel à la détermination de la durée moyenne normale de la protrombine ou à ISI.
