[PROBLEMS] With respect to a phenol aralkyl type epoxy resin, to suppress any crystal precipitation, improve the quality manageability and operation efficiency at composition production and enhance the properties, including heat resistance, thereof. It is also intended to provide a resin composition that even when stored in the form of a varnish for a prolonged period of time, is resistant to crystal precipitation, excelling in storage stability and operation efficiency, and that gives a hardening product of low dielectric constant and low dielectric tangent excelling in heat resistance, water resistance and flame retardance. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided an epoxy resin characterized by being comprised of a phenol aralkyl type epoxy resin of <= 20% bifunctional matter content (area % measured by gel permeation chromatography), and provided a resin composition obtained therefrom.
Le problème à résoudre dans le cadre de la présente invention consiste à supprimer toute précipitation cristalline d~une résine époxy de type aralkyle phénolique, à améliorer la maîtrise de sa qualité et l~efficacité de son fonctionnement lors de la production de composition et à améliorer ses propriétés, y compris la thermo-résistance. L~invention concerne également une composition de résine qui même lorsqu~elle est stockée sous la forme d~un vernis pour un laps de temps prolongé, est résistante à la précipitation cristalline, présentant une stabilité de stockage et une efficacité de fonctionnement excellentes, et qui donne un produit durcisseur de constante diélectrique faible et de tangente diélectrique faible, de capacité thermorésistante, hydrorésistante et ignifuge excellente. La solution proposée consiste à fournir une résine époxy caractérisée en ce qu~elle comprend une résine époxy de type aralkyle d~une teneur bi-fonctionnelle <= à 20 % (pourcentage de superficie mesuré par chromatographie par perméation de gel), et à fournir une composition de résine obtenue de celle-ci.
