An NIR sampling system designed to provide a stable gasoline sample stream to an NIR analyzer. Preferred design elements in- clude a temperature-controlled stream moving tbrough an inverted coalescer whereby gas bub- bles are removed through an overhead stream. Elevated pressure is used to reducc degassing as well. Two or more prototype fuels can be injected to calibrate the instrument over a range and prove accuracy before and/or after analysis of a sample.

Un système d'échantillonnage utilisant le proche infra-rouge permet de fournir un flux stable d'échantillons d'essence à un analyseur fonctionnant dans le proche infra-rouge. Des éléments de conception préférés incluent un courant contrôlé en température qui traverse un coalesceur inverse, ce qui permet d'éliminer des bulles de gaz par un flux de tête. On recourt à une pression élevée pour réduire aussi le dégazage. On peut injecter deux carburants prototypes ou plus pour étalonner l'instrument sur une fourchette donnée et en prouver la précision avant et/ou après l'analyse d'un échantillon.
