A motorcycle towing apparatus comprises a mounting tongue for securely mounting the motorcycle towing apparatus onto a vehicle. A main frame member extends rearwardly from the mounting tongue. A wheel cradle defines a wheel socket. The wheel cradle is pivotally connected to the main frame member for pivotable movement about a horizontal cradle pivot axis between a loading position and a transport position. In the loading position, the wheel socket faces substantially rearwardly and the tire receiving back end of the wheel cradle is disposed below the cradle pivot axis, the back end thereby permitting a front motorcycle wheel ingress to and egress from the wheel socket. In the transport position, the wheel cradle is oriented upwardly with the tire receiving back end disposed above the cradle pivot axis, the back end thereby precluding the front motorcycle wheel ingress to and egress from the wheel socket.
