Known telecommunication systems comprising a controller (gateway/server) and devices (TV, VCR, refrigerator, security system) and a remote control unit for remotely controlling said devices via said controller, can be made more user-friendly by storing user-dependent-signals in said controller which can be activated in response to a user-identification-signals originating from said remote control unit. By using a controller-limitor, user-rights can be limited, and by using a controller-calculator, a more dynamic system taking user-behaviour into account is created, whereby a controller-adjustor can be used to adjust said user-dependent-signals stored in said controller.
