A method for determining reservoir formation properties that consists of exciting the reservoir formation with an electromagnetic exciting field, measuring an electromagnetic signal produced by the electromagnetic exciting field in the reservoir formation, extracting from the measured electromagnetic signal a spectral complex resistivity as a function of frequency, fitting the spectral complex resistivity with an induced polarization model and deducing the reservoir formation properties from the fitting with the induced polarization model.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer des propriétés de formation de réservoir qui consiste à exciter la formation de réservoir avec un champ d'excitation électromagnétique, mesurer un signal électromagnétique produit par le champ d'excitation électromagnétique dans la formation de réservoir, extraire du signal électromagnétique mesuré une résistivité complexe spectrale en fonction d'une fréquence, ajuster la résistivité complexe spectrale à un modèle de polarisation induit et déduire les propriétés de formation de réservoir de l'ajustement au modèle de polarisation induit.
