Synthesis of a target transcript of a gene is selectively increased in a mammalian cell by contacting the cell with a polynucleotide oligomer of 12-28 bases complementary to a region within a target promoter of the gene under conditions whereby the oligomer selectively increases synthesis of the target transcript.
Selon l~invention, la synthèse d~une transcription cible d~un gène est sélectivement accrue dans une cellule mammalienne par la mise en contact de la cellule avec un oligomère polynucléotide de 12 à 28 bases complémentaire à une région d~un promoteur cible du gène dans des conditions permettant à l~oligomère d~accroître sélectivement la synthèse de la transcription cible.
